Matt Beaty
Based in Flagstaff, Matt Beaty has worked his way through several genres, trends and styles in photography. Allowing his work to constantly change and evolve, Matt is currently focusing his lens on landscapes, most captured with film cameras.
By photographing with the finished print in mind and printing exclusively in Platinum/Palladium, Matt’s images draw the viewer into a scene, inviting them to take their time and experience the peace and serenity of each photograph.
A fascination with mankind’s apparent disregard for natural spaces and instinctive circadian rhythms influences Matt’s work, both in form and subject matter. Sunrises and sunsets, dramatic light and a focus on the natural waxing and waning that occurs through many of life’s everyday moments are currently among his primary muses.
